A dock can charge successfully once and still be unready for commercial deployment. Validation has to show that the approved sample fits, connects and performs under the agreed use conditions, and that production can repeat the same result.
Goochain builds a test plan from the product requirement. The exact items depend on the device, power level, data function, environment and customer acceptance criteria.
Check insertion direction, seating, wobble, retention, release and access to the device. Try normal misaligned approaches. Dimensions that control contact position and base installation should be recorded, not assessed only by appearance.
Verify pin mapping, continuity, shorts, input/output behavior and charging under the defined load. Temperature is measured at relevant contacts, PCB, cable and enclosure locations according to the test plan. Data functions need enumeration, transfer and reconnect checks using the recorded host and device.
Repeated cycles can reveal wear, guide damage, contact shift and cable fatigue. The cycle count and pass criteria should reflect the project rather than a generic marketing figure. Cable strain and connector retention are tested in the installed direction.
