A device-specific desktop dock developed for repeatable return-to-charge operation using Pogo Pin contacts, mechanical guidance and project-defined power or data functions.
A good dock should let the user place a device without searching for a cable or carefully aligning a small port. Goochain develops single-bay Pogo Pin charging docks around the device shape, contact pad location and the way the product is picked up and returned during a shift.
The dock can be designed for charging only or for charging plus project-defined data functions. Pogo Pin selection is only one part of the work: the enclosure, working stroke, contact force, datum surfaces, guide features, retention, release and cable exit must function together. Goochain supports this work from engineering review through tooling, assembly and production testing.
The dock must locate the device before the contacts are fully compressed. Goochain uses mechanical guides, controlled tolerances and, where suitable, magnetic assistance to reduce side loading and inconsistent contact. Final performance is validated with the approved device and contact configuration.
